Grrrr

This is what most of Tuesday's rush hour came across on freeway 405. The accident kept me in traffic for 3 solid hours, whilst I drifted in and out of sleepytime. Like most accidents, the crash site was mostly contained but the rubberneckers ahead who could not resist gawping at the scene that throttled the flow. For fuck's sake, what is the fascination? It'd be quicker to just ignore the accident and zip onto home/office and watch the explanation on television. Three solid hours, I tell you.

NaNoWriMo is 2 days away and I'm freaking out. The story idea I originally had is turning out to be a novella, less than the 50,000 word count needed. I hope I have time to hash out a new idea by Thursday. Right now I'm swinging towards a crime story, with a very unreliable main character. The new crime stories/novels have that quirky MC, don't they? My MC isn't quirky, he's just a despicable yet charming liar. Here's hoping I can start work after my trip to the allergist on Thursday.

The allergist because I had a major allergic reaction to something on Saturday evening after the Japanese food festival at New Otani Hotel in Little Tokyo. My eyes were swollen and are still itchy - which has never happened to me before. The Benedryl is helping me sleep and not much else - which explains my drowsiness when driving. I'm in for a full scale allergy test Thursday morning, and hope it doesn't bring in any more bad news like an allergy to bacon or something.

ARGH. So. Itchy.
