Are you nerdcore?

Oh, I'm definitely the nerdy type. I know a lot about many things, have certain fixations on subjects most ignored by ordinary people, and read textbooks for fun. And I hang out with plenty of geeks and nerds. But I am just blown away by the sheer nerdiness exhibited by John Hodgman (aka PC) in his speech addressing President Obama at the 2009 Radio and TV Correspondents Dinner:
It is just too cute from beginning to end, and Hodgman did an excellent job. Don't miss 'the most American of greetings' at the end!

Date: 2009-07-13 03:30 am (UTC)(feels slightly more nerdy than usual, for remembering that Crom is the name of the god in the Conan series... ahem... I suppose I should feel even nerdier for being able to quote from the movie Conan the Barbarian... lol!)

Date: 2009-07-13 04:38 am (UTC)Oh wow, I must bow down to your geekiness for even knowing the answer! Haha, I've never seen the entire Conan the Barbarian movie because if it ain't got Raquel Welch in a fur-lined bikini like in 10,000 BC I don't care. But I love that our president is a huge fan X3 Too cool!

Date: 2009-07-16 07:10 pm (UTC)I should go and visit and make you watch that. :p I don't care much for the second movie, but the first is pretty cool. It's even got James Earl Jones in it...how can that not make it a winner? lol! (I haven't watched the movie in years, but it's one of the first DVDs I bought after we got a player, because I was craving something from my youth, when we used to go completely gaga over crazy stuff like "Amazon Women on the Moon", and "Killer Klowns from Outer Space". lol! Have I mentioned that I'm a big dork?)
