Thanks for everyone who left a comment for the last entry. It meant a world to me :)
I was worried sick last night because the insurance claim agent did not return my call and a call to my mother informed me that she may or may not have already taken me off the policy. Yeah, so I may have been driving without insurance. You can imagine how livid I was when I found out. The reason she took me off the policy was because my job was terminated and thus I wouldn't need to drive to work everyday. I have no idea why she didn't tell me this sooner so I could get a replacement. And according to her damning judgment, this accident was an act of divine retribution. I won't go into details as to why she thinks so, but I'm sure anyone can understand why I felt so low.
I woke up this morning and had a good look at the car. To my untrained eyes it looks pretty manageable. The only thing that is in dire need of replacement is the right headlight. The bulb is intact, so all it needs is the glass replacement. The dented hood I can deal with and a quick check inside the engine will probably just result in a replacement of the windshield wiper liquid container, but probably not even that. The other guy managed to scrape by with only scratches. If it turns out my insurance won't bail me out, I'll have to call him and ask if I could pay myself for his damages. Kinda sad when my car came out with more damages, but it's better than a fine (or worse) for not having insurance.
As for selling off the car, I just remembered something: my mother's name is on the title and loan. Well, well, well. Looks like there is karma after all.
