Wilde would have been 155 years old today, though that was probably most rude of me to disclose.

Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone elses opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.

He really knew how to turn a phrase, eh? In honour of his birthday, I'll probably settle in for a proper viewing of The Importance of Being Earnest. While I don't dislike the version with Colin Firth and Rupert Everett (how could I? Firthy and Rupert!), I'll be watching the version with the 8th Doctor, Paul McGann, instead. Then, An Ideal Husband (with Rupert again!). Oh hey, and Firthy is in this year's Dorian, too. If Hugh Grant isn't in any Wilde-related film, I shall be horribly put out :D

I imagine he would probably scoff at you and make a remark (something wittier but still along the lines of "age ain't nothing but a number") for revealing his true age! (On a random note, he's a Libra too!)

I need to watch The Importance of Being Earnest now. I love when they start singing Lady Come Down :D
