Wow. I've just watched my first David Lynch film (Mulholland Drive).

A whole lot of WTFs and WOWs. But now I want a shower to wash the weirdness away.

Is this normal after watching a movie directed by Lynch?

i've always really wanted to see that movie! i saw a short film of his once that really upset me for some reason, and then "eraser head" is...also upsetting. he did "twin peaks" too, right? yeah, his is a weirdness that sticks with you

I was a Twin Peaks fan, but I hated the movie for much of that "need to take a shower afterwards" feeling. I've never seen Wild at Heart (I've heard there's a brutal "near-rape" scene - whatver that's supposed to mean, so I've never had any interest in seeing it), but I've seen Blue Velvet, which I absolutely hated. I've seen Mulholland Drive and don't remember much from it, to be honest.
