bradygirl_12! I hope you like this :D
Under the moonlight, she simply took his breath away.
Steve Trevor reached out and brushed a lock of hair away from his angel's face. Her mouth parted slightly, and Steve was certain she could feel his heart trembling under her touch.
'Duck!'
They huddled, close to the ground to avoid the smatter of gunfire. Steve lifted his head, and peeked over the rubble.
'Four shooters. How many do you see Princess?'
Her sweet breath warmed the space between them. 'I count five -- there is a sniper hidden by the a military vehicle. I will--'
Steve held onto her wrist. 'Wouldn't be a gentleman if I let you do all the work.' He motioned ten feet away at a crumbling corner of a home. 'I'll provide the distraction, and you can sweep in overhead to round them up.'
'Steve,' she said, her blue eyes grave.
'Trust me, Angel.' He gave a salute and wink, intending to sprint off right away. But a strong tug dropped him onto his seat, and in the middle of a gunfight the Princess of Themyscira stole a kiss.
'I trust you,' she said, smiling. 'But I couldn't let you go without a reason.'
'Reason?'
'To return to me quickly.'
Steve opened his mouth to protest, but was shoved out into the open. As he dodged bullets and sped to safety, assured by the Princess's hearty cry of 'HOLA!', he couldn't help but chuckle. As if he ever needed another reason.

Aw, that's such a sweet moment. I love how romantic they are even when all hell is breaking loose around them.

And I love the casual banter between them - you made them deserve each other, and that brings me joy.
