Wondercon, Here I Come!

I only go on holidays twice a year: Wondercon, and SDCC. Yes, I know I'm a nerd. And really, even when I could afford them I never did (at last job I had 3 weeks of paid vacation time banked up, and HR was constantly nagging me to take them). A girl's gotta have some fun, right? And better it be in Cali, and thus benefiting the local economy.

My entire trip cost me $280 with taxes. This includes my flights from LAX to SFO, 3 nights of hotel stay, the Bart ticket to and fro the airport, and $30 for the Wondercon itself. It helps I picked the same hotel I stayed last year that's pretty cheap, and super close to the Moscone convention center.

The only thing I'm worried about is getting to the airport from work. Boss says I can leave my car at work's parking lot, and I was thinking of catching the bus to LAX. Alas, traffic sucks on Thursday nights and after the crap I had to go through at the airport last year, I'm worried I might miss my flight. Ah well, good thoughts.

Anyone on the f-list heading to Wondercon too?

If you take the car and park at lot C it shouldn't be too much.

I swear by LAX Park though. They can even wash your car while you're gone.

It's ridiculous though, that it would take more than 30 mins on a bus to LAX when it's only a 15min drive from work.

When I worked in Burbank and had my car fixed, what normally takes 1/2 hour took me 3 hours. With 3 transfers. :-S
