Who's That Girl?

First: I'm back, and with a new name. Hope everyone's awesome! Work is crazy, and it isn't the holiday season yet! I'm trying to find the time to get back into writing and onto LJ, but when you're working from 9am to 8pm almost every workday it's ridiculous. Good news is that I get to listen to Radio 4 all day and night, thus never missing mah stories.
Second: I re-read Joe Kelly's Superboy run for ideas and inspiration, and was shocked I tell ya. Who knew Kelly was a Kon/Bart slasher. HE WAS. I mean, various characters insinuating something between the two, Kon constantly saying something about Impulse, and that dream sequence where our boy wonders if his subconscious thought of Bart as a chick/love interest... I boggled. And fell in love with the Kelly run once again. Also, plot bunnies. Kon/Bart plot bunnies.
Third: September birthdays. You lucky ducks :D

Date: 2008-09-06 07:44 am (UTC)And September birthdays don't have to compete with holidays! My October birthday is always getting lumped with the Halloween party. Seriously, orange is not my colour.

Date: 2008-09-06 08:36 am (UTC)Joe Kelly's Superboy is a lot of fun and filled with pop culture references and heavy on the comedy, but this Kon isn't seen outside of the run. After Kelly left, Dan Didio wrote Superboy -- just say no. It's really boring.
The best Kon in terms of history and characterisation? Karl Kessel's Superboy, but that involves searching for the early 90s issues.
My best bet would be the Kon in Young Justice. It's definitely the one characterisation most people identify with, and as a plus you get him interacting with the gang.
Good luck and there's always the
